Did you see the tent topper card I posted last week? Well, here's another tent topper card. This card inspiration can from my friend Teri H. This particular style of Tent Topper card has cs dimensions of 8 1/2" x 4 1/4". When it is folded, it becomes a square 4 1/4" card. The "topper" can be cut to any size & shape & is adhered to the front of the card so it projects up from the fold.
Use the Petal Pizzazz stamp set & Raspberry Tart dsp. Razzleberry Lemonade dsp would like terrific for this card too! The beauty of Stampin' Up products is that we can first choose any designer paper & then customize the cs, ink, & ribbon to match colors in the paper!
Cameo Coral, Kiwi Kiss, Pretty in Pink, & Rose Red were the colors I pulled from Raspberry Tart dsp for this card & topper. I stamped, cut out, & layered the flowers on the topper & then made a flower center out of the Build-a-Brad kit. Have you tried that? It's fun to make a brad that matches whatever you are making!
Add matching ribbon & perhaps punch with a ticket corner punch for some eye-catching detail.
How can you make sure the finished card fits into the envelope? Lay your short little card atop your envelope & than adjust where you will adhere the topper piece. The finished card with topper & all should fit within the size of that envelope so make sure the topper is positioned at an appropriate height before pressing to adhere. Oh, and make sure you apply adhesive only to the bottom portion of your topper!
Have a great day!
Linda :)
