Think About Color Thursday - Old Olive, Perfect Plum, More Mustard, Very Vanilla

TODAY'S THINK ABOUT COLOR POST COMBINATION:

Very Vanilla

Old Olive

Perfect Plum

More Mustard

Today's card is perfect for boys, whether young, teen, or even those grown men who think they are still boys. The current catty has an entire collection of "Extreme" stamps - Extreme Snowboard, Extreme Surfboard, Extreme Skateboard, Extreme Dirtbike, and Extreme Guitar. What a unique bunch of stamps - check them out on page 80 of the catty! The creations I think up for these stamps are all very abstract, which is a nice change.

Not only have I combined some interesting colors, but I also have combined two interesting stamp sets - Extreme Snowboard and Trendy Trees. No, there are no trees on this card. The little swirly that is one of 4 leaf choices for the Trendy Trees stamp set makes a perfect "action swirl"! I think it looks rather cool!

How did I make the little ridges on the Old Olive strip of cs? I embossed grooves into the cs at repeated intervals using a stylus & paper trimmer (the stylus is run through the groove in the paper trimmer). I grooved it almost to the end & folded over a little cuff. A small oval punch works well for a little tab - just punch, fold in half, & add a brad or eyelet!

The snowboard dude is adhered with dimensionals. Hope you like it!
