Tuesday Tips - Apply Glitter with the Perfect Adhesive

Some of the tiny flowers on this card have a spot of glitter on them. The camera doesn't capture its beauty, but if you look closely, you can see it. There is a really easy way to apply glitter to a small area. You may already know this tip, but the first time I heard it, I questioned my own intelligence as to why I hadn't thought of it before. The card here is made with Designer Series Patterns Paper - 2 different patterned sheets.

Two of my favorite glue products can be found in the new Stampin’ Up catalog: 2-way glue pen & Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive (page 192). The 2-way glue pen has a small chisel tip that applies a very fluid adhesive. It goes on smooth & easy. It's called two-way glue because if you apply it and let it dry, it becomes a temporary adhesive that is repositionable. When you use it like a normal adhesive (apply wet & bond two papers together), it gives a permanent bond. The Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive has the same temporary/permanent feature as the 2-way glue pen, but it has both a chisel tip AND a fine point tip. I like using both of these adhesives for small items like diecut letters on a scrapbook page & tiny embellishments. Either of these products make applying small areas of glitter a breeze.

Here’s how it works:
1. Apply glue wherever you want glitter.
2. Pour glitter over the glue and press the glitter into the glue for a heavy coating, or sprinkle glitter lightly for just a little bling.
3. Funnel the excess glitter back into the glitter container.

Have fun glamming up your projects!

Linda :)
