Tuesday Tips - Make a Halloween Candy Spider

At my October Stamp Camp, we created these cute little spiders with candy in the middle!  What a sweet treat to send as classroom treats, or even to give to your favorite trick-or-treaters!

Here is the back view of this yummy arachnid!

She (notice the little bow in her hair) is very simple to create.  Use the Stampin' Up photo corner punch.  On this particular spider, I used gray cs for the larger photo corners & basic black cs for the smaller photo corners & layered four legs for each spider treat with a touch of adhesive.  You could use the Tombo Multi-Purpose adhesive or the 2-way glue pen.

The eyes are made from the 1/2 inch and three-quarter inch circle punches.  The mouth can be created with red card stock and the Boho Blossoms punch.  Just punch out the tiny flower & cut it in half!

The spider body is punched with the 1 3/4" scallop circle punch, one for the front & one for the back.  Adhere two legs to each scallop circle.  Punch a small hole into the top of the spider's head with a crop-o-dile and tie a ribbon through it for a girl spider.

Once you get all the parts ready, simply adhere the front and back spider to a piece of candy.  I would recommend either Stampin' Dimensionals, double stick tape, or sticky strip applied to the front and back of the wrapped piece of candy, and then just press the front and back onto the candy, aligning onto a table top so it will stand up straight!

You really could put any kind of small candy in this treat!  Of course, my recommendation would be anything chocolate!

Happy Halloween season!

Linda
