Think About Color Thursday - Sage Shadow, Certainly Celery, Whisper White

A Tribute to Sage Shadow Card Stock

This sad day was inevitable.......Stampin' Up has announced that Sage Shadow cs 12" x 12"  is no longer available.  Sold out.  Gone.  Forever. :(

So, today's card is none other than Sage Shadow.  Pair it with Certainly Celery and it is a thing of beauty.  Hopefully, you have some Sage Shadow cs left in your stamping supplies so you, too, can continue to smile for Sage Shadow.  It is one of the discontinued colors during Stampin' Up's Color Renovation.  I will miss her.

I dry embossed Whisper White cs with a pretty embossing folder first.  Next, I punched curly labels from some designer series paper (Wintergreen dsp, Holiday Mini Catalog 2007, retired).  Who would've thought that the curly label punch could be used to make a patchwork pattern?  Adhere the little labels on the diagonal to form that patchwork & trim around all four sides of the white rectangle.

Next, adhere the white rectangle to the card and add a thin strip of dsp beside the white rectangle, if desired.  Stamp a message on a die cut tag. I stamped in Always Artichoke classic ink onto Sage Shadow cs.  Then, run Certainly Celery ribbon through the die cut tag, tie the ribbon around the card front & add a stampin' dimensional underneath the tag.

Have a great, sunny day!

Linda
