Map It Monday - Three Little Words: Sketch For You

This card gives the recipient an added bonus......a mini flower just clipped onto the front of the card.  Isn't it clever?  The inside of the card says "Thinking of You".  This card would be terrific for a friend who is recuperating from an illness or surgery, and she could unclip the little watercolored piece to use as a bookmark.  The map is so versatile that it can be created with any type of small stamp.....an animal, a leaf, something seasonal like a pumpkin or holly with berries, hearts, or even a birthday stamp such as a birthday cake or party hat.

I layered Green Galore cs onto a Bermuda Bay card.   The card is a standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card, and the Green Galore layer is 4" x 5 1/4".  Then, I cut a Whisper White cs to 3 3/4" x 5" and punched the corners with a ticket corner punch.

The stamping is simply a flower stamp inked on a Bermuda Bay inkpad, though I stamped second generation flowers to give a lighter, softer look.  The "Three Little Words" is stamped in first generation stamping.

I stamped the same flower in black Stazon ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cs & ripped the left side, to look as though it were ripped from a sketch book.  I colored the flowers with Stampin' Write markers.

I used a sweet little black Mini Library Clip (on page 179 in the IB&C) to attached the single flower piece.

Have a great week!

Linda
